Two men were arrested Friday in connection to a shooting that killed a 28-year-old La Grange man, according to Goldsboro police.
The Goldsboro Police Department said Demartquise Ti’Quez Swinson was shot around around 2:46 p.m. Monday on East New Hope Road near Hines Drive.

Emergency Medical Services took Swinson to UNC Health Wayne, where he was airlifted to ECU Health in Greenville. Swinson died on Tuesday.
On Friday, officers charged 19-year-old Preston Chestnut Jr. with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Goldsboro police said that due to the high-risk nature of these warrants, officers in a Max Pro Armored Vehicle (MRAP) drove to toward Chestnut's house and followed him when they observed him leaving his house.
Officers arrested Chestnut after finding him inside a car at a Sheetz on N. Spence Avenue. Officers also arrested the other people in the car, charging 22-year-old Tyler Pearsall with accessory after the fact of murder, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
After Chestnut was arrested, officers conducted a search warrant at his house where "evidence was seized." This investigation remains ongoing, according to Goldsboro police.
