Two people were taken to the hospital after a large house fire Wednesday in Harnett County, Buies Creek fire officials said.
The fire broke out around 5:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Strickland Lane in Lillington, near Campbell University.

Both people were transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. The home was completely destroyed by the fire, according to the Buies Creek fire chief.
Fifteen fire and EMS units responded, including crews from Buies Creek, Coats-Grove and Summerville Bunnlevel fire departments.
SKY5 flew over the scene and saw severe damage to the house. Two firefighters were on top of a ladder truck, spraying water onto the roof of the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
