Lightning struck a northern Wake County home and started a fire on Saturday.

Crews were called around 3:30 p.m. to Prescott Manor Way for reports of a lightning strike. When they arrived, they found the attic of a home was on fire.

WRAL's Breaking News Tracker saw heavy damage to the attic and roof of the home from the fire. 

Officials with the Northern Wake Fire Department said two people were home at the time, but no one was injured.
