Raleigh police said there is no evidence that there was a shooting Monday afternoon at Ligon Magnet Middle School.
Several officers and police vehicles responded around 4:15 p.m. to the campus on Lenoir Street after receiving a call about an active shooter at the school. There is no indication that a shooting happened.

Officers remained on the scene to help parents as they picked their children up. Parents are asked to pick up their children at the corner of Hopemont Street and Chavis Way.
WRAL News saw officers walking out of the school building with guns. Sky 5 also flew over the scene.
Ligon typically dismisses students at 2:20 p.m. on regular school days.
Ligon students left class "due to a potential threat" on Jan. 20. Officers found that there was no threat after searching the campus.
Neighbors told WRAL News this is not the first time they have seen officers respond at Ligon in recent weeks.
“Honestly, it’s really scary because this is the second time in probably about a month to six weeks that Ligon has had an issue," said Stephanie Pascale, who lives nearby.
WRAL News contacted Raleigh after hours asking: How many incidents have officers responded to at or around Ligon Magnet Middle School in the last sox months? WRAL News has yet to hear back.
WRAL News also contacted the Wake County Public School System to see if any statement would be sent to parents about the false alarm.
