A major road in Wake Forest was blocked early Thursday morning after railroad gate crossing arms malfunctioned.
Wake Forest officials said Ligon Mill Road was closed at the CSX railroad crossing near Steeple Run Drive as crews worked to fix the stuck crossing arms.

Crews were able to fix the issue around 7 a.m. and traffic is flowing again.
