A man is in jail on Thursday night after Raleigh police said he is connected to the death of a man in a community center parking lot years earlier.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers arrested 49-year-old Roger Riddick and charged him with the murder of Jorge Zelaya in 2019.

Zelaya was found dead on June 6, 2019 in the parking lot of Brentwood Park Community Center near Vinson Court. Police said Zelaya had been stabbed multiple times and died from his injuries at the park.
It's unclear how long Zelaya's body had been in the parking lot of the community center before he was found.
Police began retesting evidence collected from the case in February, matching evidence connected to Riddick on May 6.
