A Durham man was charged with attempted first-degree murder from a shooting along Wake Forest Highway in Durham County.
On Feb. 24, a man and woman were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and a child was taken by social services on Tuesday after a couple drove to a Durham County Sheriff's Office location to get help for their injuries.

The office said the shooting was part of a domestic dispute. A child was in the car during the ordeal. The child was not hurt and placed in DSS custody. Investigators found a gun in the car.
Deonte Alston was taken to the hospital from the incident. He was released.
Alston was charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by felon, assault with a deadly weapon with minor present and probation violation.
Alston is being held without bond and made a court appearance on Tuesday.
