A man riding an electric scooter was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured Friday morning.
Raleigh police responded to the scene on New Bern Avenue around 7 a.m.

According to Raleigh police, the man operating the scooter was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation and showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
