The Durham County Sheriff's office has a new member of the team.
K-9 Lucky and his handler, Deputy Justin Witcher were introduced to residents in the Carolina Arbors community on Tuesday.

The pair wanted to meet people who helped make the partnership happen and show off their skills. The Carolina Arbor's Homeowners Association helped raise money for his purchase and 11 weeks of training.
K-9 Lucky is a skilled Belgian Malinois. He will live and work with Deputy Witcher. Their job will focus on explosives search and detection.
Members of the sheriff's office said they are excited to welcome him aboard.
