Greg Warren resigned his position as chief of police in Newton Grove a week after his arrest on charges that include secret peeping and indecent liberties with a minor.
Warren was put on leave immediately after his arrest on Jan. 7, and on Jan. 13, the town announced his resignation.

Warren faces seven charges in all:
- 1 felony count of indecent liberties with a minor.
- 2 felony counts of secret peeping.
- 4 felony counts of possessing images derived from secret peeping.
According to court documents, the charges are related to an incident that happened in 2023. He is accused of going into the victim's bedroom and taking photos of her while she was sleeping, according to court documents.
Warren had been chief of police in Newton Grove since 2019.
The town issued a statement to announce his resignation, including, "Town officials have met and have taken all necessary steps to ensure there is no lapse in law enforcement services. Police operations will continue without interruption, and public safety services remain fully operational."
