Two teens are in custody Friday night after police say they crashed into multiple cars using a stolen vehicle that afternoon in Creedmoor.
According to the Creedmoor Police Department, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old stole a vehicle Friday. Police were notified of the vehicle, later identified as a stolen black 2006 Nissan 350Z, around 3:25 p.m. when residents saw it traveling on U.S. Highway 15.

When the teens noticed the police on North Main Street, the driver accelerated and caused a crash involving three vehicles at Main Street and Wilton Avenue. The teens drove west on Wilton Avenue and crashed with two more vehicles at the intersection of North Durham Avenue and Wilton Avenue.
Police took the teens into custody after they tried running away from the second crash scene.
Police said nine people were hurt in the crashes and all have minor injuries.
