Two Holly Springs police officers were hospitalized on Wednesday after their cruiser was T-boned while responding to an assault.
According to the Holly Springs Police Department, the officers were responding to a domestic assault around 3:30 p.m. when a red Hyundai sedan hit the broadside of the officer's vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and NC-55 Bypass. The town said the officers had their lights and siren on when the crash happened.

Both officers and the driver of the Hyundai were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Police said their investigation is ongoing.
