Orange County deputies investigate Carr Store Road shooting, no threat to community

Orange County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man was shot on Tuesday.

Deputies said they were called to reports of a shooting on Carr Store Road just before 6:30 p.m. When they arrived, deputies said they found a man who had been shot.

The man was taken by EMS to Duke Hospital. Deputies did not give an update on his condition.

Deputies and investigators are still on the scene, but said there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Deputies have not released the names of anyone involved nor shared what led to the shooting. The investigation is still ongoing.
