The co-owners of Holly Christina Photography are now facing criminal charges in connection with an alleged breach of a wedding photography contract.
According to an arrest warrant filed in Forsyth County, Holly Scott Ayscue and Christopher Owen Ayscue are each charged with one count of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Prosecutors allege the couple signed a contract on July 31, 2025, to photograph an April 11, 2026, wedding and accepted $5,691.65 from Morgan Bales, formerly Morgan Wofford.
The warrants allege Holly Christina Photography closed before the wedding took place and that the money was never refunded.
The charges mark the first known criminal case filed against the former business owners following complaints from multiple couples who told WRAL they lost thousands of dollars after Holly Christina Photography abruptly ceased operations.
North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson also filed a lawsuit in February against Holly Christina Photography.
A judge also ordered the company to provide their clients with the photos and videos they were promised. Several couples told WRAL News they are still waiting.
The charges remain pending, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
