A pedestrian was killed early this morning on I-40 in Raleigh in a hit-and-run crash.
Raleigh police say a woman was near the South Saunders Street interchange when she was hit by a car, around 12:15 Sunday morning.

The eastbound lanes were closed for nearly five hours while police investigated the crash.
They are working to figure out who hit the woman.
