Police are investigating after a person was shot in Zebulon late Friday night.
Police said they were called around 11 p.m. to Shannon Drive near NC-97 and Mack Todd Road.

Neighbors told WRAL News they heard what sounded like gunshots and ran outside.
“It was three,” Kierra Bryant said. “I heard three shots and then I saw a black car drive away.”
Police have not released the name of the person who was shot, and their current condition is unknown.
Police have not said whether any arrests were made.
