Power has been restored for most of the 2,000 people that were without power for hours on Saturday.
Crews told WRAL News a truck had got caught onto the power lines as it was turning into the Zinc House Winery driveway bringing the pole and lines down along N.C. Highway 98 near Southview Road.

According to Wake Electric, the outage was initially reported at 8:40 a.m. When crews arrived at the scene, they found a broken pole.
Neighbors told WRAL News they endured the dangerously hot temperatures for hours with no AC and the nearby Zinc House Winery was forced to close its doors.
"I talked to the line guys, and they were saying it's a distribution line and the power's out and the place is closed," said Ken Ramsey, who planned on spending his Saturday at Zinc House Winery enjoying live music with friends.
Neighbors told WRAL News the same power pole was down a few months earlier after being hit by a truck. With the most intense heatwave of the season, some say the hot conditions have been “miserable” without power.
“It’s terrible,” said Bobby Penny. “Got the hottest day of the year and we ain’t got no power.”
Penny said luckily he had a generator and was able to run fans and use his water pump for the restroom.
Penny also told WRAL News this area is prone to car accidents and suggests a turning lane to avoid future incidents.
NC-98 remains closed in both directions, and is expected to reopen at midnight on Sunday, according to the NC Department of Transportation.
