Duke Energy's outage map showed 3,315 customers without power on Sunday morning between Raleigh and Durham. The power was restored by Sunday afternoon.
The outage was first reported at 8:30 a.m. in the areas of Glenwood Avenue, Leesville Road, Page Road, Brier Creek Parkway, TW Alexander Drive and Angier Avenue.

There was another power outage in Durham early Sunday morning in the area of University Drive and University Place. Before 5 a.m., more than 1,800 customers were without power, but at 9 a.m. that number had reduced to fewer than 400.
