Two large accidents on Friday night sent multiple people to Triangle hospitals.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, one of the accidents happened around 8:38 p.m. at the intersection of Tryon Road and Trailwood Drive in Raleigh.

Police officers said a Kia Forte was traveling east on Tryon Road when it hit a white Honda Accord in the intersection. The passenger in the Accord, 39-year-old Lina Fernanda Ramos Velasco, died at the scene.
Two other people were also injured in the crash and a child was in one of the cars involved in the crash. All three are expected to be okay.
Police said both drivers did not have signs of impairment. No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
Ten minutes earlier on the other side of the city, two vehicles crashed at the intersection of the Brier Creek Parkway and Glenwood Avenue.
Police said three vehicles were involved in the crash and it was started after a truck towing a trailer rear-ended a sedan, which caused the sedan to hit the car in front of it.
According to police, two adults and two children were in the sedan were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Authorities are currently working to clear the accident, which shut down four lanes.
