Fire starts behind bar in Five Points neighborhood along Glenwood Avenue

A fire behind a bar on Glenwood Avenue on Monday prompted a large response from Raleigh firefighters and police officers.

Around 4:45 a.m., Raleigh firefighters responded to a fire along Glenwood Avenue near W. Whitaker Mill Road in the Five Points neighborhood.

The fire broke out on the back patio of Loop Bar and Lounge. A neighboring business owner said there was minimal damage

Crews quickly put out the fire. Police said it was possibly started by a space heater. 

No injuries were reported.
