Lightning strikes cause two house fires in Raleigh

Firefighters responded to multiple lightning strike fires Wednesday night in Raleigh.

Both fires were in the 3500 block of Althorp Drive in Raleigh. Officials believe that lightning was the cause of the two fires and no injuries have been reported. 

When fire crews arrived the first home had smoke showing and the second had fire and smoke coming from the homes. The number of those displaced is unknown; both fires are under investigation.
