Raleigh man charged with rape, kidnapping in two alleged July sexual assaults

Durham police arrested a Raleigh man on Tuesday for two alleged sexual assaults they say happened in July 2025.

Jose Guzman, 42, is charged with two counts of second-degree forcible rape and one count of first-degree kidnapping stemming from two sexual assaults.

Investigators believe there might be more victims who have yet to come forward.

Authorities identified Guzman as the owner of JCG Remodeling LLC. Investigators believe he used his position to target women and may have victimized others.
