Carrboro police are looking for a man linked to an attempted rape on the Frances Shetley Bikeway on Thursday morning.
Officers said a woman was walking her dog between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on the bikeway, between North Greensboro Street and Shelton Street, when she was attacked.

The woman had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to UNC Hospitals.
"We ask that community members utilize caution and report any suspicious activities they witness," police said in a release.
Capt. Jim Walker said the woman's dog ran off during the attack, but the animal was found. The path is lit and is busy into the evening.
"A victim was on the bike path here in Carrboro, ran to a nearby residence, knocked on the door, the resident opened, that resident called 911," Walker said.
Jenny Goldstein, who lives in Carrboro, said she was shocked by learning about the incident.
"I think something like that happening so close to home, especially as I'm often out in the dark," she said. "I typically feel pretty safe in this neighborhood. It was really a shock to hear about it."
