A Robeson County deputy was shot at Wednesday while responding to a breaking-and-entering call in Rowland.
According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, around 10:15 a.m. a deputy responded to an alarm call in the 1200 block of Highway 710 South in Rowland.

On arrival, a deputy found a broken window, an open door and movement inside a home.
While a Robeson County deputy worked to secure the scene, someone fired multiple gunshots in the deputy’s direction.
The suspect ran from the scene before deputies took him into custody. The sheriff's office did not name the person responsible for the shooting or list the charges that person faces.
No one was injured during the shooting, the sheriff's office said.
