A sinkhole swallowed a truck overnight near the intersection of Airline Avenue and Brown Street, WCNC Charlotte reports.
No injuries were reported. The driver was not in the truck when it sank, Gastonia police said.

A spokesperson with the Gastonia Police Department said the driver got stuck in a pothole at the location the night before. When he returned, he found his truck had been swallowed by a sinkhole.
The cause of the sinkhole is under investigation.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area while crews assess the damage.
