A motorcyclist was killed after getting into a crash with a Wake County school bus in southern Wake County Thursday morning.
According to State Highway Patrol, the bus was traveling south on Kennebec Road and was going to make a left turn onto Bud Lipscomb Road. A dirt bike driven by 22-year-old Michael Jones was traveling north on Kennebec without lights or reflective gear on.

When the bus attempted to turn left, it ended up hitting the dirt bike at the intersection.
Sky 5 flew over the scene of a crash at the intersection of Bud Lipscomb and Kennebec roads around 7:15 a.m.
Authorities on the scene confirmed there were no students on the bus.
Jones was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the bus was not injured.
No charges are expected to be filed.
Law enforcement was seen cleaning up white dust around the motorcycle. The scene was cleared by 8 a.m.
