A man was arrested after he allegedly stole an ambulance and crashed it into a Moore County hospital sign after leading deputies on a chase.
Allen Morgan, 27, is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony flee to elude arrest and misdemeanor hit/run, fail to stop causing property damage.

On Wednesday morning, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to assist the Asheboro police officers who were chasing an ambulance from Randolph Health on White Oak Street in Asheboro.
Deputies tried to pull over the ambulance, but Morgan refused to stop and continued into Moore County.
The chase ended at Moore Regional Hospital, where the ambulance crashed into the hospital sign.
Morgan was arrested there and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was held under a $15,000 secured bond.
