Edgecombe County deputies arrested a Tarboro middle school employee accused of renting a hotel room in her name and having four unsupervised children living there.
Fantasia Burgers is a teacher at W. A. Pattillo Middle School in Tarboro, and the crime did not occur on school property, according to the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office.

Burgers, 30, of Tarboro, is charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of failure to report abuse or neglect.
Burgers is accused of having four children living in a hotel room ages: 1, 13 (two children) and 15.
Authorities were holding Burgers on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
The sheriff's office said the administration at W. A. Pattillo and Edgecombe County Public Schools cooperated fully with the investigation.
