A man is charged with first-degree murder after a teen was killed and two people, including a small child, were injured in a shooting Friday night in Henderson.
Henderson police arrested 25-year-old Michael Edward Mitchell Jr., and charged him with:

According to the Henderson Police Department, officers were called to reports of a shooting just minutes before midnight on Saturday at the intersection of Rose and South Williams streets.
When they arrived, they found 15-year-old Manny Escobedo with a gunshot wound. Officers said Escobedo died from his injuries at a local hospital. Police also learned that Mitchell and a small child arrived at another hospital with non-life-threatening injuries connected to the same incident.
During their investigation, officers determined that Mitchell traveled to Henderson to meet Escobedo. During the meeting, the two shot at each other, resulting in Escobedo's injuries and damage to Mitchell's vehicle.
Mitchell is in custody without bond.
