Thousands of people lost power after a tree fell down Tuesday night in Durham.
According to a Duke Energy outage map, more than 7,000 customers lost power in Durham. The majority of the outages were in the southern part of Durham.

According to the Durham Fire Department, a tree fell around 9:20 p.m. at North Carolina Highway 54 and Garrett Road. Duke Energy told WRAL News that an outage in that area was "vegetation-related."
A strong line of storms moved through Durham County Tuesday night, prompting a flood advisory for part of the county until 11 p.m.
A spokesperson for Duke Energy said the outage has been resolved.
