Two people were arrested Tuesday in Chatham County and are facing several felonies after deputies claimed they stole "property" from a farm supply store the day before.
According to Chatham County deputies, they responded to reports of a theft on Monday at Bennett Farm Supply. On Tuesday, deputies said they received a tip that the suspect, 32-year-old Jacob Phillips, was in the area of Chirpy Road.

When they responded, deputies found a blue truck hidden in the woods off Claude Phillips Road. They also found Phillips and Morgan Shaw, 36, inside the truck along with the stolen property, a stolen gun, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies said Shaw and Phillips were arrested and are now facing several charges:
Jacob Phillips:
- Felony possession of a stolen firearm.
- Felony obtaining property by false pretenses.
- Felony larceny in Lee County.
- Misdemeanor carrying a concealed firearm.
- Misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.
- Misdemeanor larceny.
- Three counts of misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
Morgan Shaw:
- Felony purchase of a firearm in violation of a domestic violence protective order.
- Felony possession of a stolen firearm.
- Felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
- Felony possession of methamphetamine.
- Misdemeanor carrying a concealed firearm.
- Misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon.
- Two counts of misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
- Misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
- Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies said Shaw was also severed warrents related to felony stalking, violation of a domestic violence protection order and accessory after the fact charges in Lee County.
Both Shaw and Phillips are in the Chatham County jail under no bond and are expected to appear in court on Monday.
