One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting early Sunday morning in Halifax County.
According to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called for reports of a shooting at a home in the area of Turtledove and Tuscan Lane off of Mills Road in Hollister. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds.

One of the people died, while the second person was taken to the hospital. Deputies did not identify the victims or the condition of ther victim in the hospital
Deputies said their investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call their detective at 252-645-9611.
