Beginning Wednesday, one lane of Knightdale Boulevard at Carolinian Avenue will be closed for a days-long improvement project.
The right lane (eastbound) at the intersection of U.S. 64 Business (Knightdale Boulevard) and Carolinian Avenue will be closed for approximately 10 days, from Wednesday, Aug. 19 to Friday, Aug. 28, according to the town of Knightdale.

Crews will be adding a short section of storm drainage pipe, extending the curb along the right lane and adding a 10-foot sidewalk.
The work will take place each day between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. During some parts of the project, the road may be temporarily closed.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and use caution in the area.
