The Nash County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a man in Vance County and seizure of drugs as part of a multi-agency operation.

Authorities arrested Ta’Shawn Baskerville on Thursday on Little Mille Road just north of Fox Trail after executing a search warrant.

Law enforcement officers seized 850 dosage units of heroin, nearly 0.2 pounds of fentanyl M30 pills, $5,100 cash and several items used in drug manufacturing.

Baskerville is charged with:

  • Two counts of trafficking heroin
    • Two counts of trafficking fentanyl
      • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin
        • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver fentanyl
          • Manufacture a Schedule I controlled substance
            • Maintain a dwelling place for a controlled substance
              • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
                • Possession of marijuana up to one half ounce

                  Authorities are holding Baskerville without bond at the Vance County Detention Center.

                  Several law enforcement agencies were part of the operation, including the Henderson Police Department, Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Vance County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
