A man backed his car into a Wake County deputy on Friday afternoon after being pepper-sprayed, authorities said.
Sky 5 was over the scene on Jones Sausage Road and saw several Wake County Sheriff's Office vehicles blocking the road around 3:45 p.m. Deputies were seen speaking to a man in the back of a cruiser.

According to the sheriff's office, the deputy was taken to the hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A witness told WRAL News that the incident started at a gas station at the intersection of Jones Sausage Road and Integrity Drive. The office said they received a call about a man, who deputies later identified as 30-year-old Tevin Maurice Hester, trespassing at the business.
The witness said Hester was verbally abusing employees at the gas station and was then asked to leave, which is when the deputy got involved.
The witness said the Hester and the deputy then had a physical altercation, leading to the deputy using pepper spray. Hester then got into his car and hit the deputy before driving onto Jones Sausage Road and collided with a truck.
Hester was taken into custody and then the hospital to be evaluated for his injuries. Hester was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, one count of resisting a public officer causing serious injury, felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, two counts of habitual misdemeanor assault and other related charges.
