A Wake County sheriff's deputy was taken to the hospital after he was involved in a crash on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on Lizard Lick Road near U.S. Highway 64, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said a trooper was in his patrol car when it was hit by another vehicle.
The deputy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was treated on scene by EMS, deputies said.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
