One man is in custody after another was stabbed Wednesday morning on Old Mill Farm Drive near Wendell.
Court records show Earnhart Joyner III, of Knightdale, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

The homeowner was found with a stab wound shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Just after noon, a Wake County Sheriff's Office representative announced Joyner's arrest about two miles from the scene.
Authorities did not say whether or how the two men knew each other or offer any possible motive for the stabbing.
Joyner has no other criminal history in the state of North Carolina beyond some traffic violations. He is being held without bond.
Old Mill Farm Drive is a private road that goes into a gated community off Robertson Pond Road.
