A chase involving Wake Forest police ended in a crash in Durham Wednesday night.
A Wake Forest spokesperson said officers spotted a driver driving carelessly and recklessly with fictitious temporary tags on Dr. Calvin Jones Highway near Thompson Mill Road. The officer then began pursuing the vehicle.

The chase ended around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Raynor Street and Holloway Street in Durham where the Wake Forest police officer crashed into another car not involved in the pursuit. The suspect's vehicle left the area and has not been located.
The driver of the other vehicle and a juvenile were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, a spokesperson said. The officer involved was not injured.
WRAL’s Sky 5 flew over the scene and saw heavy front-end damage to the Wake Forest patrol car and extensive damage to the driver’s side of the other car.
No charges have been filed. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash while Wake Forest police investigate the chase.
