A Wake County man and Johnston County woman are each $250,000 richer. 

Two locals each took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $347,251 jackpot.

Raleigh resident Wardell Void bought his lucky ticket for Thursday's drawing from the Best Buy Grocery on Old Stage Road in Raleigh.

Smithfield resident Priscilla Allen bought her lucky Quick Pick ticket from 365 Stores on East Anderson Street in Selma. 

They are both two of three players who matched all five numbers in the drawing, so each received one-third of the $1,041,753 jackpot. The odds of matching all five balls are one in 962,598. 

After claiming their wins and the required federal and state tax withholdings, Void took home $249,149 and Allen took home $249,153.

Allen says she plans to pay her mortgage with her winnings. 

The third lucky ticket was purchased at a Sheetz on Portertown Road in Greenville.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

Monday’s Cash 5 jackpot is $130,000.
