Walmart announced plans to remodel stores in North Carolina. 

It's part of ongoing efforts to modernize in-store and digital shopping experiences. The company will upgrade layouts, technology and offer faster and more convenient services for customers.

This year, Walmart plans to remodel more than 650 Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets throughout the country. The company has invested more than $848 million to upgrade stores throughout North Carolina over the past five years.
