Two Wendell police officers are in the hospital after a crash involving at least three vehicles around midnight Thursday, according to Wendell officers on the scene.
The officers are in the hospital and are okay, according to police on the scene.

The crash happened on Wendell Falls Parkway at the intersection of Jake May Drive.
According to Wendell police, as a result of this crash, officers charged 20-year-old Uriel Asael Morales-Morales with felony possession of cocaine.
Wendell Police Chief John Slaughter said that the driver of one of the cars fled the scene, and police are working to identify that driver.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was on the scene and saw damage to the rear of the police vehicle as well as two damaged cars towed away.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker saw a person in the back of a Knightdale police car at the scene. A state trooper, who was there, told WRAL that officers were speaking to a passengers who were in one of the cars involved in the crash.
Several law enforcement agencies were there, including Wendell and Knightdale police as well as a Wake County Sheriff's deputy, a state trooper and Wendell Fire.
WRAL is still working to find out how the crash happened and the identities and conditions of those involved.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
