Man dies in crash on West Martin Street in downtown Raleigh

A person died in a crash Saturday morning in downtown Raleigh around 3:15 a.m.

Michael Graham, 36, was speeding when he hit a parked vehicle near 300 W. Martin Street. 

His car continued on to the sidewalk, where he then ran into a building at 320 W. Martin Street, near S. Harrington Street.

Graham was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene, according to Raleigh police.

W. Martin Street between Harrington and Dawson Street were closed from 3:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
