A 20-year-old woman was charged Wednesday after driving the wrong way on I-540 in Raleigh, causing a head-on crash, according to police.
Around 5:21 a.m., officers responded to a crash with injuries on I-540 westbound between Capital Boulevard and Louisburg Road.

Police say injuries were non-life-threatening.
The driver, Aleyda Josmari Soriano-Coto, was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including:
- Misdemeanor: Driving by a person under 21 years old after consuming alcohol
- Misdemeanor: Reckless driving to endanger
- Misdemeanor: Driving without a license
- Misdemeanor: Driving while impaired
- Infraction: Traveling the wrong way on a dual-lane highway
