MACON COUNTY, N.C. (WXII) - One person was rescued after their vehicle crashed into an embankment at the bottom of a North Carolina waterfall.
This happened at Bridal Veil Falls in the Nantahala National Forest, about 35 miles west of Asheville on Saturday. The falls sit within the mountains on US-64.

The driver was trapped inside an SUV at the time of the crash. Highland Fire and Rescue said they stabilized the SUV and rescued the person inside.
First responders said the driver was injured and was transported to a local hospital.
