A black bear was killed Saturday in a crash in Princeville, according to the Princeville Volunteer Fire Department.
The car that hit the bear was significantly damaged, but no one inside the vehicle was injured.

Bears are most active between mid-May and mid-July during breeding season, but bear sightings are frequent from spring to fall.
