A Nash County man is facing several charges after he was accused of assaulting a person with a knife over money. 

Nashville police said Bobby Ray Wooten Jr., 42, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, on Thursday.

Officers were called around 6:55 p.m. to reports of a physical altercation involving a knife near Embassy Avenue and King George Avenue. 

When police arrived, officers said they found a person who was injured. After an investigation at the scene, officers said there was enough probable cause and arrested Wooten Jr.

He is being held on a $10,000 secured bond and is expected in Nash County District Court on Friday at 9 a.m.
