The final settlement in a wrongful death suit filed by a groom who lost his bride in a 2023 DWI-related golf cart crash was approved.
The driver's insurance company of Jamie Komoroski is to pay $160,000 to Aric Hutchinson, whose wife, Samantha Miller (Hutchinson), was killed hours after their wedding in Folly Beach, South Carolina, by an intoxicated Komoroski in April 2023.

She was reported to have a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.
Of the $160,000, the Hutchinson estate will actually receive $104,586.67 after attorney fees and other costs are taken.
Tuesday's settlement is the final step in a wrongful death suit that Hutchinson filed against Komoroski and three South Carolina bars after she was reportedly bar-hopping before the crash occurred on April 28, 2023.
The three bars paid more than $800,000 in their 2024 settlement.
The couple was leaving their wedding reception in Folly Beach on a golf cart when they were hit. Police said Komoroski was traveling 65 mph when she slammed into the golf cart.
Miller died from her injuries. Hutchinson suffered two broken legs, multiple broken bones in his face and brain injuries.
Komoroski pleaded guilty to charges including driving under the influence resulting in death. She is currently serving a 25-year sentence.
