GREENSBORO, N.C. (WXII) - Nine people, including four teenagers, are recovering after a shooting inside a Greensboro business early Sunday morning, according to the Greensboro Police Department. 

This shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. at the Royal Banquet Hall on West Gate City Boulevard.

Police said the victims include a 15-year-old and three 17-year-olds. All nine victims are expected to recover. 

Two people are in custody with the shooting, but police have not shared their roles. 

Prior to the shooting, police responded to the area for reports of underage drinking. When they arrived, they did not find anyone drinking underage. 

Police said they do not know what led up to the shooting, but do believe it was targeted. 

Greensboro Police Chief Kamren Afzal had a message for parents.

"If your kids are under 18, they're your responsibility," he said. "Keep them where you can watch them. So if we call you, you should there whereabouts. Community safety is a responsibility for the whole community. So we make sure that people that we love, that are our family, that they're not involved in any kind of activity, and we protect them from going to events that are potential issues."

The Mayor of Greensboro, Marikay Abuzuaiter, released the following statement on the shooting:

"Last night’s shooting has shaken our community, and my thoughts are with everyone affected and with their families. I want to thank our officers, firefighters, and the EMS personnel who responded. The Greensboro Police Department is leading an active investigation and detectives are working now to establish what happened. I am not going to get ahead of that work. The Greensboro Police Department will share what it can at its press conference this afternoon.
