A woman faces felony charges after being accused of not returning a U-Haul van in Moore County.
Cecily Nicole Cromartie, 46, was arrested by Aberdeen police on Saturday, Sept. 27, after officers were called to Jus Storage, a U-Haul neighborhood dealer, the day before for reports of a U-Haul van that was never returned.

According to police, Cromartie had rented the U-Haul van for just two days, but the van was never returned. Police said a person with the storage company made several attempts to reach out to Cromartie but were unable to contact her.
When officers responded to the home Cromartie left on the rental application, police said the home was abandoned. More attempts were made to find Cromartie, but police said they were unsuccessful.
Police said Cromartie already had an outstanding warrant from the Moore County Sheriff's Office for Felony Failure to Return a Hired Motor Vehicle for a similar incident in April. Officers obtained a new warrant for Felony Failure to Return Hired Motor Vehicle for the September rental.
Police said Cromartie was arrested and taken to the Moore County Magistrate. She was served with both warrants and given a custody release.
Cromartie is expected in court on October 8 at 9:30 a.m.
