UNC football coach Bill Belichick met with the media Monday to discuss the Tar Heels' outlook heading into ACC play.
The Tar Heels took control early in a 35-3 victory against East Tennessee State on Saturday to improve to 2-0. UNC's defense has anchored the strong start, allowing just 13 points through two games.

Belichick is expected to address UNC's upcoming game this Saturday at Clemson. The Tar Heels haven't won at Death Valley since 2001. Last year, Clemson thumped UNC 38-10 in Chapel Hill.
Clemson quarterback Christopher Vizzina is expected to miss the game with an elbow injury. The Tigers were trounced in their opener against LSU and beat Georgia Southern 22-7 on Saturday. Freshman Tait Reynolds is expected to be under center in Vizzina's absence.
"They're big and fast, really physical," Belichick said. "They're hard to handle. Tait is really athletic, very productive in some of the high school tape we saw."
Belichick did not shed any light on the status of his son and defensive coordinator, Steve Belichick, who was placed on medical leave before the season started.
Much of the spotlight surrounding UNC in recent months has focused on off-field issues. General manager Michael Lombardi, who had been on paid administrative leave, resigned last month. An internal investigation into the program has expanded, as WRAL recently reported.
